matchmaker, matchmaker make me a match

Do I need to justify my fascination for shows like Project Runway, Top Chef, and Millionaire Matchmaker? We all have our guilty pleasures. (Care to share yours?) Okay, so the latest was this show about a matchmaker named Patty. I'd like to take a crack at that job. (I know, it's like the blind leading the blind.) I've recently thought up a few matches and have run the idea by the guys. One of them is someone I went out with a handful of times awhile back, and another is a friend. While I can't say they were excited (I get it) they seem willing. Maybe I'll have a casual little get together and see how it goes before I open up for business.

I think you DO need to justify your "guilty pleasure". I mean really, Millionaire Matchmaker?! Now if you were to say that you liked to watch "Denise Richards: Its Complicated", I'd get it. I mean seriously...now that show's deep!
I guess my real guilty pleasure is kind of boring...any flavor Haagen-Dazs ice cream. There, I've said it.

Oh, we were supposed to share ours? Hmmm. Reading blogs is a guilty pleasure I spend far too much time doing when I should be reading to my kids or cleaning my house. Also, Mrs. Smith's Carrot Cake and Pepperidge Farms Coconut Cake, both available in your grocer's freezer.

I had a great time seeing Todd last night. He told my husband and another brother in my ward that I used to mouth "Olive Juice" to him in seminary! He then informed the fireside that I used to torment and torture him in high school. I have a mild mannered reputation these days, so I'm sure everyone was shocked!!

Shonda, that is funny about the "olive juice".....I still flick my sunglasses up and down by pressing on the arm of them as they sit on my ear---I remember Chrissy and Matt doing that at a Fashion Place dance.....Do you guys remember them doing that?
Don't get me started reminiscing (sp?)about good ol HB days!

Anyway, I like Edys slow-churned vanilla ice cream with fresh strawberries and sugar on top.

I was addicted to WNTW with Stacy and Cli-unnh! Yesterday I started recording Next Door with Katie Brown---sad I know, but when I feed the baby, I like to learn some homemaking skills.

I guess if you can watch Millionaire Matchmaker (whatever that is) I'll watch Tori and Dean!

Alright, enough of the boring "ice cream" guilty pleasures. Have none of you EVER watched "Saved By The Bell"? Or how about any tv movie Mario Lopez has ever been involved in, most notably the Greg Louganis story. I'll admit that John Stamos is also one of my biggest guilty pleasures. I think I may have to check out the Denise Richards show though - that has to be a train wreck.

Jaim - Matt loves Katie Brown. I don't think he'd admit it. One time he made me watch her as she created chargers out of twigs!!

That's it! I'm getting cable again so I can be culturally literate! I only know about What Not to Wear because my son's speech therapist told me they would have a hey day with me! The nerve! At least I don't wear Mom Jeans!

who is mark paul gosselaar???? help, I feel cheated! I do like John Stamos. But the worst (well not the worst, but my husband thinks its pretty bad) thing I have passed on to my kids is my addiction to the Brady Bunch!(you all remember your flamer, the Brady Bunch expert--just try and stump me!)
Its so sad when my 9 yr old SON, can prediect the episode within the first 30 seconds! Like Mother, like son.....
Actually we are all getting bored with the Bradys and are hooked on Wheel of Fortune. I dont like them watching Disney Channel for hours....I am mad at Hannah!

Mine is the reality show last comic standing. It isn't even all that funny of a show but the thought of making people laugh for a living would make it my dream job. Problem is that no one really thinks I am very funny and most comics live on top ramen.

Jaime,
My kids love the Brady Bunch! Their favorite is Gilligan's Island, though. They pooled their money and bought the entire series on dvd.
Maphew, (does your dad still call you that?) You were a pretty funny kid, and I bet that hasn't changed!!
Kristen, this is like your own message board forum! Maybe you need your very own website!
